ABOUT BERNAY
BERNAY'S INSPIRATION
Bernay’s first inspiration
for quilting was started with her mother-n-law Thea Hiett. Watching the love
Thea gave each and every quilt she created for children, grandchildren, great
grandchildren including any person that crossed her path in need of comfort
from her crazy quilt patterns. Inspired to share talents blessed with Bernay is
continually reminded of the love one feels by giving or receiving.
Bernay is the proud mother
of 6 children and grandmother of 11 darling grandchildren. Number 11 grandchild was born in December 2019 after this photo was taken in summer of 2019.
She began her quilting projects as a means of paying forward kindness
for her grandchildren. Bernay is passionate about creating beautiful quilting
designs and helping quilters anyway that she can.
She is the creator of
Quilts4kidz, a project that gives quilts to children survivors of abuse and
life-threatening diseases.
